Volgens die skolewet en die skool se dwelmbeleid is die skool verplig om voorkomend op te tree en kan leerders sonder waarskuwing getoets of deursoek

DISTRICT MEMO 259 OF 215: SEARCH AND SEIZURE AT SCHOOLS

It has come to the District's attention that schools in the greater Tshwane region have become soft spots for drug dealers and drug peddlers. The District has received numerous drug related complaints and for this reason, unannounced search and seizure raids/operations will be conducted at schools. The raids will be conducted by the SAPS; Tshwane Metro Police; Department of Community Safety and Department of Education: School Safety Directorate. The purpose of these raids are meant to deter the usage of illegal substances on school premises as well as selling.
